Terms & Conditions

I’m passionate about delivering the best possible service directly to you. That’s why I’ve established some simple guidelines to ensure your Braids by Tasha experience is as enjoyable and smooth as possible. These aren’t rules but gentle reminders for a great experience together.

Confidentiality

During our sessions, which can sometimes extend over several hours, we might engage in various conversations. Please rest assured, I hold the confidentiality of what’s shared during our time together in the highest regard.

Respect

Mutual respect is the foundation of my service. I strive to treat everyone with the kindness and understanding they deserve, fostering a positive and inclusive environment for all.

Proper Hygiene

I understand the hustle of daily life might not always leave time for a refresh before your appointment, just coming from work, but if possible, please take a moment to freshen up before our appointment.

Non-Refunded Deposits

A deposit is required to secure your appointment. This ensures that both our times are respected and that I can continue providing personalized, high-quality service directly to you.

Rescheduling/ Cancellation

If you need to cancel for any reason, I completely understand. I give a 35 days grace period from the original appointment date to reschedule and apply your original booking deposit.

If the appointment is not rescheduled within the 35 grace period, the deposit will be forfeited.

Late Fees/ No-Shows

Life is unpredictable, and schedules can be challenging. If you anticipate being late, a quick message is greatly appreciated. For arrivals more than 15 minutes late, an additional fee of $20 will be added to your service. If you’re over 30 minutes late without notice, your appointment will be canceled and your deposit forfeit.

Home Visit Requirements

For home visits, please have your hair washed, detangled & dried (prestretched for coily hair) beforehand, To ensure a focused and efficient braiding session. Otherwise,  please communicate that you’ll need an additional blowdry/ blowout service in the intake form message box or send an email.

I ask that only the client and I be present in the working area, unless assistance is needed for special circumstances or minors under 16. Pets are welcome, provided they don’t disrupt the session.

Travel Bookings

When I’m on the road for markets, festivals, or other events, I offer a limited number of appointments. By booking a travel appointment, you understand that availability is subject to my travel schedule and logistical constraints. I’ll confirm your appointment or notify you if I cannot accommodate your request.

Squeeze-in Appointments

Any appointment scheduled less than 48 hours in advance is classified as a squeeze-in. A $50 surcharge will be added to the service total. A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking and will be applied to the final balance.

After-hour Requests

After-hour appointments are subject to review and cannot be guaranteed. An additional $100 fee will be applied to these special requests, on top of the total service cost.

Once your appointment is finished and you’re are happy with your new look, I may ask to capture photos or videos of your hairstyle to use in my portfolio, which may include my website and social media channels, for inspiration and marketing purposes. If you’d prefer to keep your look private, no worries at all, just let me know. Your comfort and privacy are always my top concern.
